1. Provide underserved youth with positive after-school and summer opportunities to express themselves in healthy ways.

2. Teach youth in our community the beauty and relevance of the literary arts.

3. Assist participants in the creation and revision of their own poems.

4. Provide performance coaching and public reading opportunities.

5. Assist participants in creating a chapbook of their poems.

6. Record a poetry CD and/or online sound files for public distribution and enjoyment.
